Samuel Keny Tabara, also known as 'bilmar' was born in Nairobi, Kenya by Rwandan parents in the year 1997.
At the age of 2, his parents were obligated to relocate & leave Kenya because of a lack of protection which resulted in seeking refuge and settling in South Africa from the year 1999, as political refugees.
bilmar's exceptional singing capability was discovered and nurtured by his late mother, after her continued persistence on having him sing throughout his primary & high schooling years, beginning at the age of 6.
At 15, bilmar had his first studio recording session with group affiliates MACC75 & Daydreamerkev, then known as 'Fourus Inconceivable', his passion for music recording deepened since then.
During his high schooling years, bilmar released his first mixtape titled "Colours' which garnered the attention of his entire school, resulting in a performance that took place in front of all learners and staff. What followed was an event that was centered on the mixtape which was held at Li'TheCa Guesthouse.
In the year 2020, 2 years after his mother's death, bilmar was nominated at the first annual city awards for the 012AWARDS (Pretoria) 'Artist Of The Year' category following the releases of 'She's God', 'Night Sessions', 'I Know the Cost' & 'Empty Streets'.
bilmar has remained vigilant in his quest for absolute greatness and to be rightfully recognized as the best musician, Rwanda has produced.
